320 x 5
365 x 5
417 x 5
In contrast to yesterday I filled up on food and coffee today after work and the difference was dramatic. Came home a little tired and stepped into my training space like I had a hive of angry bees for blood.

SSB squats
317 x 8, 8
Drop set of 317, 240, 150, 50 x 8

Right knee hurt a little bit, didn't care. Will take glucosamine and yell at it later.

  1. Yelling at a hurt body part is a stellar technique. I personally have this dialogue with any part of my body that doesn't feel like performing.

I encourage you to do the same.

Good weight on the squats. It's definitely going places.

  2. While watching that clip I was pretending that they were the exact same two characters from Raging Bull. I'm going to have to see that movie, haha.

Thanks, it's been kind of oscillating at around this level for a couple of years now. I think adding some more volume is going to help.

    1. I feel like there are very few problems that can't be solved by more volume, haha. I've been seeing a lot of great growth from those stupid challenge squat workouts on my deadlift days. You might consider throwing in something like that either at the end of your squat day or some other day. Lots of rest pausing/drop sets and hating life does a squat good.

    2. Sounds like a good idea. I could really go for doing something new for legs.
