Entry #584

ME lower

5 x 3     135, 225, 275, 315, 365 lbs.
3 x 1     430 lbs.

The video is of the very last set.

Had no time to do auxiliary work. Gym was about to close.

  1. That was a nice deadlift. Your form seemed well maintained, though it would be best to go by your own judgement on this one.
Next time, you should do your deadlifts while the personal trainer is bouncing his balls of the wall, just to make it harder.

  2. You have much better leg drive than me, that's for sure, haha.  You use almost a snatch grip for your deadlifts it seems.  Any reason in particular?

  3. No, I've just been using what's comfortable. After looking it up, apparently it makes the movement harder because the ROM is greater, since you have to get down lower, but I say that's just more benefit to the posterior chain.

  4. Almost a snatch grip, but regular foot position. The first thing that jumped out at me about it was, wow I need some captains of crush, no chance in holding onto that raw. Also that gym looks pretty...unmaintained, im sure you enjoy that.

  5. I'm horrible at those grippers. I'm still struggling with the #1.That's the only corner of the gym that's ugly, which is why I stick to there, although rusty gray walls would be preferable to white. The rest of the place is like a high-class health club.
