What do the acronyms DE and ME stand for? So like, you'll ME upperbody, for istance. What does that mean though?
Max~effort and dynamic~effort. Powerlifting terms.
What does either term mean as far as Weightlifting?
Maximum effort is lifting a maximal load for 1-3 reps, and is the highest force that can be performed by the muscular system. A max effort day consists of one compound lift of that with several assistance exercises following.Dynamix effort is defined as lifting sub-maximal weights with the highest attainable speed. It is used to increase the rate of force development and explosive strength. It's used in the same week to compliment the heavy loads of ME lifting.
I think you meant 1-3 reps.
1~3. The hyphen doesn't work on mine for some reason. I should look into that.
Oh, so it's like, Powerlifting, and then Plyometrics, only slightly different?
In regards to how heavy you train under, yeah, but the "plyometrics" phase is still using powerlifting techniques.
